Empty-stomach ritual is not on this label
LYRICA is given orally with or without food. That sentence is the administration line. People who fasted for a thyroid tablet sometimes copy the fast onto pregabalin. The files are different.
Bioavailability is at least 90 percent and independent of dose across the capsule range. A meal is not a reason to raise 150 mg to 'make up for dinner.'
What a meal does to the peak
With food, the rate of absorption drops. Cmax falls about 25 to 30 percent. Tmax stretches to about 3 hours. Fasted Tmax is about 1.5 hours.
Total absorption does not change in a way the label treats as clinically relevant. So the board will not tell you to chase a faster peak by skipping lunch before a 75 mg morning piece.
Kidneys still beat the plate
A low-salt supper does not replace a CrCl rewrite. Unchanged drug in the urine still sets the day. Food will not rescue a 150 mg capsule that belongs in the halved column.
Panel renal table: pregabalin panel. Sibling columns: kidney scan.
Keep the clocks even if the plate changes
Steady state still arrives in 24 to 48 hours with repeated doses. Sliding the swallow by four hours every day because of restaurant nights is how troughs wander.
If nausea made you take the capsule with toast, that is fine. If toast made you skip the capsule, that is a miss. Missed-dose scan.
Wine is not a food interaction
Ethanol at 0.7 g/kg did not change pregabalin levels in a healthy-volunteer PK look, and pregabalin did not change ethanol levels. The alcohol problem is extra sedation and worse motor skill, not a smaller AUC.
The counselling line is to avoid alcohol while taking LYRICA. Alcohol scan owns that avoid. This page owns the meal.
Meal tag, then stop
With or without food. Peak slower with a meal. Day still split. Yuki Tanaka posts the meal numbers after the US PK section.
Ankle watch is not a food story: edema watch.
