Why does Levitra 2.5-20 mg sit next to a QT note?

Last reviewed · 3 min read · Updated

Bone review card, cobalt edge, lime chip: faint ECG dust, amber tablet aside

Class IA and Class III antiarrhythmics, plus congenital long QT. That is why a QT note sits on Levitra 2.5-20 mg. Named examples are quinidine and procainamide (IA) and amiodarone and sotalol (III). The language is avoid, not 'monitor and proceed.' A 10 mg usual start does not bargain that list. Millisecond study detail already lives on what the screen catches. This scan will not reprint that sitting.

Why this scan will not reprint milliseconds

The thorough QT hour, the 80 mg pulse, and the gatifloxacin add-on already have a home on the QT tag signal.

Cloning that sitting here would be a second copy of the same job. Stop.

Named Class III examples

Amiodarone and sotalol are the labelled III names. A telehealth 10 mg that missed amiodarone is a hold.

Call both prescribers. This board cannot override that row.

Read the QT tag signal

Screen tags, the study hour, and additive lessons stay on that signal.

Nitrates remain contraindicated even when QTc looks tidy. That wall is nitrates.

Congenital long QT is not last year's ECG

A normal tracing last year does not delete a known LQTS diagnosis or a family history that belongs on the intake.

A watch strip is a conversation starter. It is not the avoid list.

Who must stay off this tablet?

Men with congenital long QT syndrome and men on Class IA or Class III antiarrhythmics should not take vardenafil.

Symptom absence on sotalol is not a clearance. The avoid is the list, not how you felt last week.

Named Class IA examples

Quinidine and procainamide are the labelled IA names. Old bottles in a drawer still count.

Do not bargain a 'tiny quinidine dose' against a 2.5 mg Levitra. Avoid is avoid.

Pablo R., Weston Moxifloxacin last month. Can I restart 10 mg now?

Board reply

Moxifloxacin was the positive control in the QT study on the signal page. A leftover antibiotic plus vardenafil is a stacking question for the prescriber who owns both lists. This scan will not green-light the restart.

Seth A., North Toronto I take amiodarone twice daily. Is 2.5 mg Levitra a workaround?

Board reply

No. Amiodarone is a named Class III avoid. A 2.5 mg tablet does not open that door. 2.5 mg exists for CYP3A4 inhibitors, not as a QT bargain.

Kim L., East York Why does every Levitra page mention QT when other PDE5 pages do not?

Board reply

This label printed a QT note and an avoid list. That is why Sephira tags it first. The millisecond sitting is on the signal, not in this answer.
