What are the four BeSafeRx checks for a 50 mcg shop?
The site requires a prescription from a licensed health care provider. It provides a physical address and telephone number in the United States. A licensed pharmacist is available to answer questions. It is licensed by the state board of pharmacy where it operates and, if different, where you live.
FDA's locator on FDA.gov is how you look that license up. If the pharmacy is not in that database, FDA says not to use it.
Can I use a shop that ships 50 mcg from outside the United States?
FDA tells people not to buy from sites that sit outside the United States. Medicines from outside the legitimate U.S. supply chain are not something FDA can guarantee.
NABP also notes that no Canadian pharmacy is licensed in the U.S., so none that ship here carry NABP accreditation. This scan does not invent a cross-border exception for 50 mcg.
The site will sell 50 mcg after a quiz. Pass or fail?
Fail. BeSafeRx starts with a prescription from a licensed clinician. A quiz is not that clinician.
SYNTHROID cartons print Rx only. A shop that skips the written order fails even if the page looks like a U.S. drugstore.
Is a.pharmacy address or NABP search a fifth required check?
NABP's Safe Site Search Tool and a.pharmacy domain are extra ways to see accreditation. They are useful. They do not replace the four BeSafeRx checks or the state-board lookup.
A site can look polished and still fail a license search. If the pharmacy is not in the state database, FDA says not to use it.
If the shop is listed, is that enough?
A listing still needs the other three checks. FDA warning letters name sites that offer prescription drugs without a prescription, without adequate directions, or without the required risk language.
A U.S. phone number alone is not a fill. The order scan is still a written line plus a pharmacy.
If the online shop has a U.S. phone number, is that enough?
A U.S. phone number is one BeSafeRx check. The shop still needs a written order, a U.S. address, a licensed pharmacist, and a state board license you can look up.
Deep discounts, spam offers, and missing contact lines are warning signs on FDA's own poster. This page does not price 50 mcg. It only checks the shop.
