How much levothyroxine a person needs still depends on age, body weight, heart status, pregnancy, other medicines, food taken with the tablet, and the condition being treated. The lock is editorial. The dose is individual.

Which other tablet strengths sit on the U.S. insert?

SYNTHROID tablets are supplied as 25, 50, 75, 88, 100, 112, 125, 137, 150, 175, 200, and 300 mcg. That list is How Supplied, not a menu this scan wants you to climb today.

If the plan is 25 mcg, the labelled 25 mcg tablet exists. Kitchen arithmetic on a 50 mcg disc is the split scan.

What does the brand 50 mcg tablet look like?

Brand 50 mcg is white and round, marked SYNTHROID and 50. Other strengths use other colors. Color is not a dose. Generic 50 mcg tablets may look nothing like that disc.

Is 50 mcg a universal adult start?

No. Otherwise healthy, non-elderly adults can start at a full replacement of 1.6 mcg/kg/day. Elderly people and people with heart disease often start at 12.5 to 25 mcg/day. Fifty is a common maintenance tablet, not a law.

Steps after a start are usually 12.5 to 25 mcg. Doses above 200 mcg a day are seldom required. This page does not pick your microgram.

If I need 88 mcg, did this site pick the wrong lock?

No. The lock is the strength this site writes in titles. Your clinician can write 88 or 100. Bring one live bottle to the next visit.

Two specialists with two strengths is how people invent a home average. Reconcile one microgram before the next TSH.

Does locking 50 mcg change the empty-stomach rule?

No. Whatever microgram is on the bottle still wants the fasting swallow and the 4-hour mineral wall. The lock only names which tablet this URL talks about.

Pair the lock with Synthroid 50 mcg panel if you want the longer panel, not a second lock story.

Full replacement in many healthy adults sits near 1.6 mcg/kg/day. Weight is a clinician input. This scan does not convert your kilograms into a new lock.

This site chose 50 mcg for its titles. A 50 mcg tablet is taken as that dose. Other labelled strengths exist. They are other URLs, not a reason to ignore your bottle.

Ruben O. The bottle says 50 mcg but I was told to take half. Is that the lock?

The lock assumes a whole 50 mcg tablet. Splitting facts sit on the cut scan and only as the label wrote them. Ask the pharmacy for a 25 mcg NDC if half is the plan.
