What if you miss a daily Cialis 2.5-5 mg tablet?

Last reviewed · 3 min read · Updated

Bone review card, cobalt edge, lime chip: one empty morning slot, next-day mark

Take it when you remember. Do not take more than one Daily Cialis 2.5 or 5 mg tablet that day. The patient section of the Cialis label writes that pair and then stops. Doubling to 'catch the line' is as-needed thinking in a daily bottle. If the next hour is already due, skip the late one and keep the habit.

A hole in the week is not a homemade as-needed weekend

Three missed mornings do not convert the bottle into a Friday-only product. If you wanted rare doses, that is a regimen change with the prescriber. See daily versus weekend 20 if that is the real job.

Restarting Monday after a skipped weekend is a new climb toward steady state. Do not add a 20 mg 'loading' swallow to hurry it.

Missed-dose math does not lift a cap

Ketoconazole still holds daily use at 2.5 mg the day you remember. Clearance under 30 still turns daily use off. A remembered tablet is not a holiday from those rows. The tadalafil panel keeps the caps.

Nitrates stay banned on a late swallow the same as on a 7 a.m. one. Continuous exposure, even patchy, is still exposure.

What to say at the next visit

Count the holes. Four misses in ten days is an adherence review, not proof that 5 mg failed. Yuki Tanaka will not climb milligrams on a swiss-cheese clock.

Partners who hide the bottle 'to keep it medical' cause misses. A visible, boring spot beats a secret drawer. Page cites: [email protected].

When the next habit hour is already close

If you remember at the door of the next swallow, skip the late tablet and take the usual one. Stacking two hours apart is still two doses in one calendar day for most clocks.

Shift workers should attach 'day' to the sleep-wake block they actually live. A miss at the end of a night shift uses that block, not the wall-clock date alone.

The remembered swallow is the whole rule

If you miss a dose, you may take it when you remember. That sentence is the patient leaflet, not a Toronto custom. 2.5 mg remembered at 4 p.m. is still 2.5 mg. It is not a license for 5 mg 'to make up.'

Write the late hour on a slip so tomorrow does not drift to 4 p.m. as a new habit. The same-time scan is the clock page if Saturday keeps sliding.

Two tablets the same day is outside the miss rule

Do not take more than one dose per day. A morning 2.5 mg plus a remembered 2.5 mg at night is two doses. A 5 mg plus a leftover 20 mg is two regimens. Neither is a catch-up.

Accumulation toward the 1.6-fold line assumes one swallow per day. A double does not rebuild faster. It only raises the day's exposure.

Answers follow the U.S. Cialis label.

Anika S., Amesbury I took 5 mg at 9 a.m. and another 5 mg at noon because I forgot I had.

Board reply

That is two doses. Stop for the rest of the day. Watch for dizziness and headache. Tell the prescriber. Do not add a third 'to even it out.'

Willa K., Junction Triangle I remembered at 10 p.m. I usually swallow at 8 a.m. Take it?

Board reply

You may take the remembered tablet unless the next 8 a.m. is already close enough that two doses would sit in one day. Then skip and resume the morning habit. Do not add a second tablet at 8 a.m.

Theo B., Mount Dennis Missed three days. Double tomorrow?

Board reply

No. One tablet the day you restart. The five-day sit has to build again. Doubling is not on the patient leaflet.
