Does this page mix onchocerciasis and strongyloides tables?

Last reviewed · 3 min read · Updated

Bone review card, cobalt edge, lime chip: one indication card chosen, second table closed

No. This scan will not mix onchocerciasis and strongyloides tables. Each infection has its own mcg/kg target. Glueing them is how a remembered integer lands on the wrong disease. If the chart says intestinal strongyloidiasis, this board locks about 200 mcg/kg. A consult answer on this page names one infection. A suitcase stamp is not a species. Panel.

If the chart really is onchocerciasis, what does this scan refuse to add?

The strongyloides integer list. Onchocerciasis uses about 150 mcg/kg once, empty stomach with water. Adult Onchocerca in nodules are not killed. Retreatment is a program question, often yearly in campaigns, as short as three months for an individual.

This paragraph will not print the 200 mcg/kg bands next to that sentence. Mixing is the miss this URL exists to catch.

Can a single consult answer name both infections?

Not on this board. One indication per answer. If the question is strongyloides, stay on 200 mcg/kg and stool follow-up. If the question is onchocerciasis, stay on that visit.

A suitcase is not a species. COVID leftovers still fail. The 200 mcg/kg scan is only the strongyloides lock.

What goes wrong when someone remembers 'five tablets' from a trip?

Memory drops the disease. Five 3 mg tablets is the 66 to 79 kg strongyloides band at about 200 mcg/kg. That sentence does not get a second disease taped to it here.

If the chart is onchocerciasis, stop this paragraph and open the oncho plan with the clinician. This scan will not score a remembered five against the other table.

What should you bring so nobody glues the tables?

The species line, kilograms, and which table the prescriber used. A photo of a foreign campaign poster is not a table.

If two relatives share a bottle for two different travel diagnoses, stop. Weigh each person. Write one infection per bag. Counting 3 mg tablets stays on the 200 lock when the chart is strongyloides.

Where do the other Stromectol scans go after this refuse?

Weight arithmetic for the 200 mcg/kg lock lives on 200 mcg/kg and the weight-dose signal. Viral rows fail on the COVID scan.

This URL does not become a dual-table poster if you scroll farther. One named infection. Then stop.

Why does the label even have two dosage tables?

Because the oral targets differ. Intestinal strongyloidiasis is written at about 200 mcg/kg. Onchocerciasis is written at about 150 mcg/kg. Those are two jobs, not a menu you average.

This page's job is to refuse a side-by-side count. Ask which parasite is on the chart before anyone reaches for a tablet integer. Sibling literacy: label lane.

Board thread

Answers follow the U.S. Stromectol label.

Hana I., Willowdale Skin snips were Onchocerca. Do I use the same five-tablet memory?

Board reply

No. Onchocerciasis is a different oral target, about 150 mcg/kg, and adults in nodules are not killed. This answer will not run the strongyloides five-tablet band. Take the oncho plan back to the clinician who named the parasite.

Noor E., Kensington Can you print both weight tables so I can compare?

Board reply

No. This page will not glue the two count tables. Name the infection on the chart. If it is intestinal strongyloidiasis, use about 200 mcg/kg and the 3 mg bands for that job only.

Craig B., Summerhill Stool positive for Strongyloides. Which mcg/kg?

Board reply

About 200 mcg/kg once, empty stomach with water. Read the strongyloides 3 mg bands. Then plan stool exams. This answer will not add an onchocerciasis integer.
