Is there a generic for Stromectol 3 mg?

Yes. Generic ivermectin 3 mg tablets sit on US shelves beside brand Stromectol. The INN is ivermectin. This board still locks about 200 mcg/kg for intestinal strongyloidiasis. A generic carton does not open a 6 mg or 12 mg US tablet. Empty stomach with water still gates the swallow. Chart the INN so a med rec does not grow a second antiparasitic. How do you ask the clerk without getting a viral kit?

Say ivermectin 3 mg and the written parasite plan. If they hear 'immune tablets,' stop the fill. NIH COVID guidance does not put oral ivermectin in routine viral care. This scan will not either.

Ask whether they hold brand or generic 3 mg. Take the leaflet home. Mail a conflict to [email protected] after you compare it with DailyMed.

Does a generic bottle change the labelled strength?

No. US tablets this board reads are 3 mg. Debossing differs by maker. Edenbridge-style generics have been supplied as white round 3 mg tablets. None of that invents a 6 mg US tablet.

A 12 mg fasting study dose in healthy volunteers was a research amount, mean about 165 mcg/kg, built from 3 mg tablets. It is not a retail strength. See the 3 mg lock scan.

Is generic 3 mg the same INN as Stromectol?

Yes. Stromectol is Merck's 3 mg ivermectin tablet. Generic bottles print ivermectin 3 mg. Chart the INN so a med rec does not grow a second antiparasitic.

People hunting a brand stamp sometimes refuse a generic fill and then buy a forum pack. That is a failed rating. Literacy is indication plus milligram. The US order scan covers how the line gets written.

Does generic change how many tablets a 70 kg adult swallows?

No. On the strongyloides table, 66 to 79 kg is still five 3 mg tablets at about 200 mcg/kg. Brand or generic does not move the integer.

If weight crossed a band since the last visit, recalculate. Do not keep last year's five-tablet memory after an 8 kg gain. The weight-dose signal holds the bands.

What if a website shows a foreign 6 mg carton?

That is another country's pack. This board will not treat it as a US labelled tablet. Do not split a foreign 6 mg in half to 'make Stromectol.'

US literacy stays on 3 mg tablets counted to about 200 mcg/kg for intestinal strongyloidiasis. Export stamps belong in a travel-clinic note, not in a Toronto bathroom protocol.

What still has to happen after a generic 3 mg fill?

Same swallow rules. Empty stomach, water, counted tablets together. Stool exams later to document clearance.

Immunocompromised hosts are a different dosing conversation on the repeat-dose scan. A generic label does not write that calendar for you.

No. Leftovers after a correct strongyloides day are either an ID follow-up plan or a return-to-pharmacy story. A cough is not intestinal strongyloidiasis. See the COVID scan.

The labelled strength is still 3 mg. The strongyloides oral target is still about 200 mcg/kg. Brand versus generic does not change that maths. If the leaflet in the bottle disagrees with DailyMed, bring both papers to the prescriber.

Nia W., High Park The website sold 'ivermectin 12 mg tablets.' Is that the US generic?

Not on this board. US tablets we read are 3 mg. A 12 mg figure in a PK study was a fasting research dose, not a US retail tablet. Do not swallow a foreign 12 mg pack to match a blog.
