How long does Stromectol 3 mg last?

About 18 hours. Plasma half-life after oral ivermectin sits near that mark. Less than 1 percent of the dose leaves in urine. Feces carry drug and metabolites over roughly twelve days. The labelled strongyloides course is still a single 200 mcg/kg swallow, not a week of tablets. Stool exams, not a home alarm at hour 18, decide whether anyone redoses. Ivermectin panel.

Why do metabolites still show up days later?

Almost all excretion is fecal over an estimated 12 days. A 'flush it out with water' story after a wrong count is theatre. Water was for the swallow, not a detox.

Urine is the wrong place to hunt leftover drug. Do not buy a home urine kit to decide a second 200 mcg/kg.

If dizziness shows up, how long should I watch?

In 109 strongyloides-study patients, dizziness was 2.8 percent. Most labelled swallows are one day. Collapse, confusion, or a roaring allergic picture needs urgent care, not a timer app.

Does CYP3A4 change how long the tablet 'lasts' at home?

In vitro, ivermectin is metabolized mainly by CYP3A4, with smaller CYP2D6 and CYP2E1 notes. Clinically relevant concentrations did not significantly inhibit those CYP activities in microsome work.

That is metabolism trivia, not a reason to take a second count because a grapefruit rumor appeared. Stay on the labelled single day unless the prescriber rewrites it.

How does the four-hour peak sit next to the 18-hour half-life?

Peak of H2B1a sat near four hours after fasting 12 mg study doses. Half-life near 18 hours is the decline after that. Both numbers come from fasting work.

Do not stack a high-fat supper onto that clock and then call the tablet weak. Meal change is a separate scan: high-fat meal.

How long until a stool check can close the case?

Comparative trials used at least two stools three to four weeks after therapy. In one French non-endemic study, recrudescence showed up as late as day 106. That series asked for at least three stools over three months.

Feeling well at 48 hours does not replace those exams. Concentration methods such as a Baermann apparatus matter when larval counts are low.

Does an 18-hour half-life mean I redose tomorrow?

No. Half-life is a plasma clock. The strongyloides day is one oral amount. Additional doses are generally unnecessary. Stool exams check eradication, not a home redose alarm.

People who treat 18 hours like an antibiotic interval invent a viral pack. This board will not. See the single-dose scan for the swallow itself.

Trials used two exams at three to four weeks. A French non-endemic series pushed surveillance out to three months. Your clinician sets the dates. Do not skip them because you feel fine.
