How plus other pressure drugs sits on the HTN line
Oral Lasix may be used alone or with other antihypertensives. Hypertensive patients should avoid OTC appetite suppressants and cold products that can raise pressure.
ACE inhibitors plus a loop can drop pressure and injure the kidney. An interruption or reduction of one of those drugs may be needed - that is clinician math.
Why those two writings are not one swallow plan
A swelling start can be one morning tablet while the clinic watches the first rush. A pressure start is often already a morning-and-afternoon pair of 40 mg discs.

What cirrhosis edema still wants a hospital start
In hepatic cirrhosis and ascites, therapy is best initiated in the hospital. Do not start in hepatic coma or in electrolyte depletion until the basic condition improves.
Sudden fluid shifts can precipitate hepatic coma. Potassium chloride and, if needed, an aldosterone antagonist help prevent hypokalemia and alkalosis in that setting.
